LEARN TO PAINT
GORGEOUS GARDEN BLOOMS

In this beginner-friendly class, I share my favorite techniques for painting six beautiful flowers: zinnia, rose, peony, hydrangea, lily, and dahlia.

In each lesson, we walk step-by-step through the creation of one bloom, building up layers of color with acrylic paints and wax pastels. In the final lesson, we compose and paint a bouquet using three of the flowers we've learned.

FAQ

 • What skill level is this course for?

I created this course with beginning painters in mind. We work through each panting in a series of clear steps, while still leaving room for inspiration and curiosity. These steps focus on creating a full range of light and dark values in each piece, which helps the flower really pop!

• What are wax pastels?

Neocolor II wax pastels draw on the page like a soft, vibrant crayon. They are also water soluble, and can be activated with a wet brush for a watercolor-like effect. They offer an exciting blend of coloring and painting possibilities!

• When does the course begin?

You will have access to the full video course immediately after purchase through your Teachable account. This is a self-paced class, so you can move as slowly or quickly through the modules as you like.

• How long do I have access to the course?

You will have unlimited, lifetime access to the course! This gives you the freedom to move through the content at your own pace and revisit it anytime in the future.

• Do I need to purchase the full supply list?

I highly recommend having the full list of acrylic colors on your palette - we use the same set of colors for each painting. You do not need the full list of Neocolor wax pastels to enjoy the class. Please feel free to adapt the specific colors I use to the ones you have on hand.
